The Green Powerhouse of Regional Airline Turboprops.
1,800 to over 5,000 shaft horsepower
The PW100 turboprop engine is the proven airline benchmark for low fuel consumption on the shorter routes of 350 miles or less. PW100 powered airline turboprops consume 25 to 40 per cent less fuel and produce up to 50 per cent fewer CO2 emissions than similar-sized regional jets. As a result, many airlines are renewing their fleets with PW100-powered aircraft. With a range of 1,800 to over 5,000 shaft horsepower, the PW100 has demonstrated its versatility in powering aircraft applications spanning the airlines, coastal surveillance, fire fighting and cargo transport.

Overview
The PW100 family is the engine of choice for modern 30 to 90 passenger turboprop airliners around the world thanks to its outstanding reliability, durability and operating economics. Offering the lowest fuel consumption and carbon emissions, and incorporating the latest, proven advanced technologies, PW100 engines have demonstrated they are the greenest in the airline industry for the shorter routes served by the regional airlines.
Ranging in power from 1,800 shp to over 5,000 shp, PW100 engines are available in 31 models, offering unsurpassed flexibility and capability for a variety of applications. PW100 engines power aircraft in service with 365 operators in 124 countries. More than 6,000 PW100 engines (PW118 to PW150) have been produced since the family entered service in 1984, accumulating more than 100 million flying hours. PW100 engines have demonstrated their versatility in powering aircraft applications spanning the airlines, coastal surveillance, fire fighting and cargo transport.
Operators of PW100 engines are supported by P&WC’s industry-leading global customer support. This includes over 30 P&WC-owned and designated service facilities around the world, more than 100 field support representatives on all major continents, a 24/7 Customer First Centre for rapid expert support, the most advanced diagnostic capabilities for this market and the largest pool of P&WC rental and exchange engines in the industry.
Features-1
PW100 engines incorporate the latest advanced technologies in the drive to exceed our customers’ expectations in performance, reliability, durability, fuel consumption and environmental friendliness. PW100-powered regional turboprop aircraft consume 25 to 40 percent less fuel and produce up to 50 percent lower CO2 emissions than similar sized jets, with correspondingly lower greenhouse gases. 31 PW100 models have been produced ranging in shaft horsepower power from 1,800 shp to 5,000 shp. The PW100 is a three-shaft, two-spool engine. Low pressure and high pressure compressors are powered independently by cooled turbine stages. A third shaft couples the power turbine to the propeller through a reduction gearbox, optimized to establish the best combination of engine and propeller efficiencies. The result is class-leading fuel consumption and low green house emissions. The latest materials, design technologies and advanced engine control have enabled PW100 engines to regularly achieve more than 10,000 hours on-wing without a shop visit, an impressive dispatch reliability record and provide the pilot and maintenance crew with easy engine operation and maintenance.
