PT6C
High powered performance for medium-class helicopters.

1,200 to 2,000 shaft horsepower class

The latest technology for the new-generation medium-class helicopters and tiltrotors. Unmatched performance, continuing the PT6 legacy.

Overview

The PT6C-67 Series with its latest advanced technologies has been designed in the tradition of P&WC’s first helicopter engines to deliver outstanding reliability, durability and operating economics. The PT6C-67 Series sets a new standard in its class for power-to-weight ratio, fuel consumption, as well as durability in harsh operating environments. Advanced engine control ranging from Electronic Engine Control (EEC) to Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) further advances ease of pilot operation and maintenance diagnostics.

The 1,200 to 2,000 shaft horsepower class PT6C-67 Series has been produced in 3 models and its versatility has been demonstrated in a wide variety of applications. Over 260 PT6C-67C engines power helicopters in service with 52 operators in 32 countries in such applications as oil exploration, emergency medical service, maritime patrol, business and utility operations.

Operators of the PT6C-67 Series engines are supported by P&WC’s industry-leading global customer support. This includes over 30 P&WC-owned and designated service facilities around the world, more than 100 field support representatives on all major continents, a 24/7 Customer First Centre for rapid expert support, the most advanced diagnostic capabilities for this market and the largest pool of P&WC rental and exchange engines in the industry. P&WC’s helicopter engine support has also been consistently ranked No. 1 by operators in Pro Pilot magazine’s annual powerplant support survey.

Features-1

The PT6C-67 Series incorporates the latest advanced technologies in the drive to exceed our customers’ expectations in performance, reliability, durability, fuel consumption and environmental friendliness. The 1,200 to 2,000 shaft horsepower class PT6C-67 is based on the PT6A-67 Series airline turboprop engine, extending the inherent benefit of airline dependability to the helicopter market. The PT6C-67 remains a PT6 in basic configuration, with its two-shaft layout consisting of a multi-stage compressor driven by a single-stage compressor turbine and an independent shaft coupling the power turbine to the output shaft. It also incorporates the latest advanced compressor, combustion and turbine technologies to provide an impressive power-to-weight ratio while delivering low fuel consumption, low emissions, high durability and excellent operating economics. With its modern engine control ranging from Electronic Engine Control (EEC) to Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), the PT6C-67 Series provides ease of pilot operation and enhanced maintenance diagnostics to maximize engine refurbishment intervals.
